Review: This is a one-man project, all that's exposed inhere: the band, the album, the lyrics and music and even the label! Huge work from Michael, he deserves all our respects. The label is a little bit older so this is already their third album to date, but for my shame (or not?) I've never heard of them before. So, Event X Horizon being a one man band it meane Michael worked all by himself in studio and the final resul I tell you isn't bad at all. He's on an epic power metal path with this project and although this is not so original to break all tops it is on the other side very catchy and interesting with good instrumental executions and different influences from NWOBHM, Italian power metal, German heavy metal and even some Mercyful Fate inspired ideas. He has a good instrumental technique and he's not afraid to use it at its best, so you'll be able to sense some twisted double guitars creating a good base for this music. The whole album is unveiled, lyrically talking, in a concept somewhat similar to the one from "Stargate" series so you'll know what to expect. The cover might have been better worked and definitely in another computer program if not painted... Well, to sum it up this is certainly not a shameful album for Michael and adding the fact he's able to play live (with a bunch of other musicians helping him live), this might be a band to watch out for the future. My CD contains also a video track of a song from his previous album so I don't understand the meaning of it, he should have done a video for a track from this album... But hey, that's a plus for your enjoyment and to conclude, Michael has a great voice for this kind of music!
