Review: Watchmaker unleashes all their brutality and ferocity on this album filled with the most violent form of hyperblasting grind metal with some crust attitude as well. Never heard of this band before receiving this CD, but they are pretty intense and really deserve such a good contract with Willowtip/Earache. As you progress in listening the whole album it gets more complex and catchy, mespecially when the guitars begin showing us a bigger veriety. The sound is a little bit messy, but that's not a problem in this genre, it just makes it more noisy. This album was recorded and released firstly in 2003 by Killeveryone Music, so I don't know what's with this new release and what are the terms. Maybe Willowtip/Earache released a remixed form of the album. Anyway, who cares? Half an hour of intense blast beats, screams and some guttural voices, gopod guitars work and impressive violence reminding me of Anaal Nathrakh's attitude (nowadays this is the second band reminding me of A.N.) - the terror fucking vocalist is for sure insane and the otehr guys tied him up, so he's ripping out his guts, and let me tell you he really have a lot of guts to sound like this! The cover artwork is special - a painting with guns and human skulls, but the painting is brushed afterwards with pure blood in form of pentagrams or simple stains. Nice, but I think they won't sell a thing in Germany as that country banns everything like that.
