Review: Another thrash metal outfit from Italy reviewed for Tempest Music. Urto was born in 1998 in Sicily with the straight aim to play thrash metal as the guys were strongly influenced back then by a local famous band, Nuclear Symphony (an album out for Steamhammer Records). "Numbers" is their debut release, call it a Full-lenght or a MCD, this is it: 6 tracks in almost 35 minutes of speed thrash metal filled with strong guitar riffs, powerful rhythmical section, good vocal lines, but what's more important, a 100% '80's thrash metal atmosphere. I like a lot the bassist which shows a huge potential. I would say their music is somewhere between Testament, Exodus and Metallica, all from their '80's periods, so if you're a nostalgic of those years, Urto might be a good choice to remember. I like it a lot. The most interesting thing in Urto is their message through lyrics. All songs are anti-war, but the guy who writes lyrics (Mimmo) is pretty stong in beliefs and has a lot of guts to do it. My deepest respects! The cover-artwork might have been better...
