Review: Never heard of this band before, but I've heard of other two bands with the same moniker, one from Germany (don't remember their style), and one from USA (a hardcore thrash death one). The French Reverence is a black metal one, but I think black metal is a strong label from their music, so I would call them dark metal. You should mix Burzum with Vinterriket and some chaotic and aggressive black metal bands and you'll get Reverence. Their music is based mostly on long, monotonous themes, guitar-based, harsh vocal touches and sad, cold and dark atmosphere, somehow suicidal tendenced. As the above-mentioned bands, Reverence is a studio-project composed of only two members, I Luciferia and Aym, but on this album they had invited as a special guest VX69 from the band Punish Yourself to do some drums and interludes. Although there are only 7 tracks, 4 of them are over 10 minutes in lenght, 2 of almost 10 minutes and one as an intro of 2 minutes, so there's pretty much time to get bored or to deeply enjoy this music, depending on your apettite for this genre. I myself like the atmosphere created on this release.
