Review: Pantera meets Sick Of It All meets Slipknot meets Machine Head meets Madball and some of this new metalcore thing - that's how I see Psycho Choke on this album. This is their debut, but what a debut. Their sound is 100% American hardcore power with guitar riffs proving a lot of balls. It is not necessarly original, nor innovative, but it's powerful as such a CD should be and from my point of view the highlight is that angry vocal with a lot of immagination and courage to put it on application. He really feels the music, the rhythm and creates a vocal pattern that helps a lot the band. I guess on live shows he's an animal. Some funky, fractured rhythms are present as well through the good collaboration of their rhythm section. A good, good album for those of you in search of groovy metal.
