Review: My Shadow is a studio-project lead and conceived by Neagoe Dumitru "Klepsy". I found out about this album very late, but it has a crappy promotion, anyway. "Nonexistence" would have been a great album at the end of the '90's, but at this time I think this genre has no new steps to go forward. My Shadow is a melodic and melancholic doom death black metal project with no serious aims, I guess. Nonetheless this is a pretty enjoying album if you're into this genre, an album breathing desperation and sadness, but with a touch of optimistic views too. Too bad the lyrics are not printed on the cover, it would have made the music more attractive for sure. The biggest work goes to vocals and drums because the rest is quite usual and with no real catchy parts, except few guitar leads here and there. Maybe the keyboards should become a more active rather than remaining on the background only. All in all this is an interesting album with interesting concept.
