Review: A new black metal band comming out from Norway, so for sure is a new black metal band that press is considering a masterpiece. We are all used to that and I don't argue with it as it's true, Norge black metal scene is great, with new, impressive bands comming out every month. Lucid Fear starts this debut EP wiith a short intro and continues with a fast and aggressive black metal track built mostly on simple riffs, but with a majestic ending where a soprano and a male choirs are appearing, plus the keyboard touch become more powerful. "Psychic Deterioration" shows the complete maturity of this band, a strong and majestic sound with complex themes, a Lucid Fear that will make some good waves in the black metal field so I must agree with all the other zines that nominated this EP as a major promise. The next track shows another band, one with a simple approach, a Burzum-ish approach which I've heard a lot of times before, so I'm not very keen on this one... And finally the last track is getting back to the Lucid Fear I started to know already, maybe with a little change in guitars (more heavy metal than black metal), but still a great band. Strongly recommended!
