Review: This is very old for a review, but as Pepino, their guitarist sent it for that, I'll review it anyhow. Livores Mortis is a new band for my ears, although I kinda follow the Czech metal scene since '98 or '99, but I've never heard of them. That's maybe because of the overpopulation of the Czech metal scene also. That's a country that produced many, many talented bands along the years and the main feature of most of them was and still is the combination of metal with electro or synthetic elements. Anyone knows or should know Czechs' appetite for innovation. Livores Mortis are trying their way of bringing something new to the scene. Their music is a sort of gothic black death with many melodic touches and as I've said earlier, many synth elements. This is not a ground breaking release but at least it's not boring at all and I had big pleasure in listening to all their tracks. Some of them are really good, with catchy rhythms and memorable parts. It's metal, it's melodic, it tries its best to be original and is a good starting point for this band, so why shouldn't you search for it? Tracks 3 and 4 are really full of potential but with a bit more work on their flowing rhythm. They need to be more bounded... And maybe they should give the guest female vocalist a permanent place in the band...
