Review: Continuous hyperblasting, ultra-brutal and violent grind metal with death metal and groovy core influences as well - this is "Life" in Inhumate's vision. The changes from the last CD are withing the sound (faultless this time) and a more acurate work on all compositions. An impressive work from France, 100% underground and self-produced, the way Inhumate did until now and I think will do as they are alive. If you want to find out more about them, just read the interview I've made for Tempest with Fred Anton, the bassist and main-man behind this band. "Life" is their 4th full-lenght from a series of 7, a heptalogy theiy started back in '96. I've listened only "Growth" (their third) except this one and I can say they are expanding their horizons a little, but still remaining faithful to the grind metal sound. This time death metal is more present and there are some groovy touches as well, which makes this album a great work! Inhumate is slowly but surely taking its well-deserved place between the titans of underground grind metal as Agathocles, Cripple Bastards or C.B.T. As them, Inhumate puts a lot of sentiments in their music and do it a big promotion in every way possible. This CD has a multimedia part also comprised of an info-part, a photo part and three live-clips taken from their performance at the Obscene Extreme Fest in Czech Republic back in 2003 (crazy, crazy performance). Also, the last track, "Life?" is in fact a collage of four tracks recorded live at a gig where they opened for Sepultura. This product really deserves all your money as it offers a lot more that the average CDs. Can't wait for the surprises Inhumate are preparing us on their fifth effort.
