Review: How could I describe what's going on on this album in a few words? I would say when listening to these 11 tracks you'll feel like walking on the streets of the worst part of a big city and when you reach a dark spot, a little driveway, 4 guys are attacking you, beating you shortly but with incredible violence and after less than 15 minutes leaving you to bleed till death saves you. Although I am not a fan (and never will be) of this kind of vocals (those screams a la new metalcore/deathcore metal scene), I am honest and appreciate their aggressivity and important approach in creating the new type of brutality in metal scene. The best thing Halo Of Knives has to offer us is their open mind for experiments, so I would say they are a combination of the Czech grind metal scene and the American deathcore or even power violence metal scenes. Pure adrenaline filled, smashing face, not boring, ultra-fast grindcore violence thrown in our faces; another confirmation (if there's still any need for that) of Australia's impressive potential in the extreme metal field.
