Review: Huh, Grand Belial's Key are back with a long (in lenght) album. If you don't know 'em by now that means you're not into the underground as it should be, as this band is around since '92 and in the meantime they have released one demo, 5 EPs and 2 full-lenght CDs, plus numerous compilation appearances, they are no anonimous name anymore. The strange fact is they stood glued to the underground and the underground amateurish sound until now, until this album which brings a substantial change in sound. It is the same old-school black thrash metal, but now they have a more complex structure, a better production (Drakkar may be behind this change) and more catchy tunes, again with no keyboard or female vocals included for a more soft approach. The old, catchy guitar thrash/black riffs are still there, but now their atmosphere reminds me of the Finnish Opus Forgotten band, only not so fast-driven. I am sure every real black metal fan will enjoy this CD, as it has all what it takes to be a winner in the underground.
