Review: A pretty established name in the Malayan metal scene, Farasu released their first MCD this year, after a demo back in 2003, a single in 2005 and a copilation appearance early this year. Farasu are an old school thrash death outfit with good technical abilities and quite catchy rhythms in their tracks. This MCD is recorded live so it has a not so professional sound. Anyway, their music would deserve a better recording sound as it's pretty good. Thrash death with an '80's-like atmosphere and native language written lyrics; it should do a lot in their country. Their good drum-work (the first that gets your attention) and good vocals are supported by catchy, memorable riffs and a hard'n'heavy lead guitar from time to time. They still have some more work to do on their compositions to curdle them better, but all in all Farasu proved to be a good band with this release.
