Cursors Total time: 21:39 Review: Eyeconoclast started out as a band at the end of 2002 trying to be death metal. Their musical path lead them to this actual thrash death they are into at the moment. After an EP and a Promo CD, this is their second attempt to attract some label's attention to sign them for a debut full-lenght. The five tracks on this promo are into a mixed style of death metal with thrash: they are mixing thrash metal guitar leads as well as some forceful guitar riffs, pounding and unrelenting death metal drums and even some melodic death a la Gothemburg style. The voices are quite complex as there are growls (raw but still understandable), normal vocals, thrashing screams and some manly choirs. I would say they are close to a combination of Kreator, Annihilator and Entombed and Dismember in the most brutal parts, plus the In Flames already mentioned small influences. A good band which seems to be pointed towards improvement having a modern clear sound on this Promo, so we should expect more words from them in the near future.
