Review: "Mix of speed and brutality of Nile, Hate Eternal and Cryptopsy with atmospheres a la Morbid Angel", this is their own description of their music, but I would say something else and I guess I would be right, hehehe; so I would say Exsecrator is a mix of Broken Hope, Suffocation and some Cryptopsy, but with a much more distorted sound based more and more on low-sounds. The whole is cavernous, brutal and fast as hell. The production could have been better, but this will be appreciated by the underground death metal fans anyway (I'm an example). Nothing to break barriers or to innovate something, but I appreciate the esecution and the band's skills. Beside full-on guitar riffs, there are some twisted solos a la Morbid Angel too. The vocal is impressively low-tuned, not as the ones from Cock And Ball Torture, but nearby. This demo has a multimedia part on it as well, where you can find a whole live-show of Exsecrator. 6 tracks with bad sound and a vocalist who rarely moves at all, but at the end of the show the public seems to be satisfied. The fact it is amateur live footage has its mark on the sound as well, but it's a good gift for the ones who will buy this CD.
