Review: To be honest this band reminds me a lot of a well known hard 'n' heavy one, but I simply can't tell which one and this is driving me crazy. Well, anyway, Dream Weaver is a band formed in 1992, and until 2000 they weren't that productive. Only from 2000 they started working more in studio and released some mini CDs. "Words Carved Within" is their debut album, out in 2003 - I got it only now so I am reviewing it anyway. The music on it is melodic heavy metal, catchy enough but still not out of the ordinary. If you listen carefully you can tell they are good instrumentists with a lot to offer, that's why this is not their peak as a band. The vocalist is a very good one, but on this release he's not giving all the guts he has. The soudn might be more polished as well. After all the bad things I said on this album you could be tempted to ignore it, but that would be a big mistake as these guys have a great potential and I am sure the next opus will be a big one. This album is not bad at all but n comparison to what they can do, this is only the humble beginning. Can't wait for the new one, as they should think of it after 2 years from "Words...". Ah, forgot to mention their style of heavy metal goes more on the American sound than on the European one.
