Review: Dead Hearts, a quite lucky band if we are to follow their biography: formed in 2004, they got signed after only a few months, they had 4 national tours, including a self-booked tour of six and a half weeks by themselves, a demo and a one sided 12" both released on specialized labels, and this spectacular deal with Ferret Music, one of the most respected metal labels nowadays. After listening this debut album, I am now certain all this success so far didn't come for nothing. This album is full of energy, full of emotional parts, catchy and intriguing parts wchich will attract every kid into this kind of modern hardcore or metalcore that's so popular nowadays. Hopefully their jurney will not end here and we'll hear more about this band in the future. This album has a perfect production and presentation, and concerning the sound, it was recorded with John Naclerio (Senses Fail, My Chemical Romance), so it's a winner for sure! The concept story behind lyrics and cover-artwork (based around the theme of insomnia) fits perfectly the whole. Perfect album, go for it!
