Review: This is maybe the most promoted release for 2006 in the Romanian metal scene, Avatar is one of the most respected outfits inhere, so I was very curious of this EP. This band started in the '90's as a Cannibal Corpse-inspired death metal band. They released 2 or 3 demos by their own and then signed with Bestial Records for a debut album, album that shocked the scene with its melodic death metal, Sweedish scene-inspired. Now the band's back with yet another cameleonic release. This time they chose the modern deathcore path. I don't know if this is good or bad for the band, to be so influenced by fashions, but that's not my problem. Let's say some words on this EP: "Tentacles" has a very good production, a top-notch graphic quality, a very low price, basically everything a release needs to be successful. If you know the band, you'll surely know they are good instrumentists, and yet again they proove they have a lot of creative ideas even in this new musical territory. If you like the new kind of death metal you can try this too. I'm curious of their following material (maybe a 2007 album).
