Review: Let's take it one by one and start talking about Amnesia by presenting their demo from back 2002 they were so kind to send along with the actual album. So, this demo simply captured all my attention from the start, as it is that kind of catchy heavy metal with very straight-to-your-face and memorable guitar riffs that sometimes touch the thrash metal area as well, so that's a thing I can't resist at all, hehehe. It has nothing new or innovative and from this point of view the demo can be considered just one among the others, but that would be not completely fair to them, as this is so damn good executed music and well thought compositions that it needs no innovative measures to attract a lot of fans, I'm sure of that. The first track is pure heavy metal with no other intrusions or compromises. The next one starts out with a jazzy touch (could that be a slight Atheist influence?) and continues with a heavy/thrash rhythm, well payed, but not so impressive and attractive. Track 3 is from a long distance my favorite one; "Stay" is some kind of hard'n'heavy masterpiece with a lot of potential and shows us the real potential of Amnesia's vocalist (maybe he should have played it with more balls, as sometimes there are some slight looses of voice...). The last of their compositions is "Eclipse Dimenssion" , a heavy metal track played with thrash metal's force and hard rock's melodic touches; the drummer shows his abbilities inhere. The Motley Crue cover is a nice one, happy faced one to bonus this demo. All in all, if made in a more professional studio and with some more time on the mixing/mastering side of it, this demo could have been a total blast on the worldwide metal scene!
